First of all, I read previous reviews before ordering and the main complaint is that the instructions are difficult to understand or inaccurate. After receiving the shed, I found the instructions very intuitive. They are on A5 so quite small but as long as you test fit the pieces before fixing parts together, you will see pretty quickly if the orientation is incorrect. If you are unsure, read ahead a couple of pages and everything should make sense. Assembled on my own in a few hours, and really happy with the quality of the shed. Very easy to erect and quick decent quality for the price. Although the base is poor using small batton as a base is rubbish so I used 4” 2” to give it more of a Sturdy base most of the batton supplied was damaged anyway only due to large knots in it. The instructions are generic which is a bit rubbish but commence prevailed. The delivery was TERRIBLE the delivery time was a month and wayfair sent me an email stating it will be delivered on a certain date so I took a day off work and had tree surgeons booked to remove a hedge so I could get the large shed in, unfortunately the delivery company came 2 days earlier so the hedge was still up and the shed couldn’t be delivered and then told redelivery will be in two weeks so not very impressed I was very close to cancelling if I’m honest. This was a big expense for me we brought a 20 x 6 pent shed, the whole experience was fantastic. I Emailed a question on a Sunday and had a response back within the hour. On a positive note, I'm delighted with my shed. It is larger than expected and meets my needs perfectly. It is of solid build and of smart appearance, a tasteful addition to our outbuildings. The 10 x 8 foot shed took two suitably experienced men nine hours to put up, but this could have been shortened. There were some unnecessarily time-consuming issues. For example, two of the floor joists were not flush and had to be taken up, re-cut, and reassembled. Also, our flat-pack contained 2 or 3 unnecessary items (e.g., a narrow role of felt, and several redundant bits of wood). This caused us to waste further time trying to figure out where these surplus items were meant to be placed (the instructions and video demo weren't any help). The video was generally valuable, but it showed a smaller, simpler shed assembly, which wasn't much help for the 8 x 10 foot shed under construction. One final gripe: whilst Power Sheds clearly state in their sales literature that the delivery is 'kerbside delivery only', our driveway opens onto a narrow country lane with no kerb or pavement. Therefore, I had expected that the delivery would be made onto our wide driveway (every lorry in the 20 years we've lived here has been able to reverse into our property). But the delivery driver declined to reverse in and instead tried in vain to use the puny hand operated fork-lift to move the pallet into our property (it was unable to travel over the stone chippings). As a result, the pallet was left awkwardly abutting the lane, presenting a hazard to traffic. In summary, I would constructively suggest that greater care is taken when cutting the shed sections and also when preparing the flat pack assembly components. As for the delivery company, maybe a smaller lorry might work for properties with gravel/chipping driveways? Overall though, the issues were overcome and I'm delighted with the shed. Many thanks.. This shed looks great once built, however when delivered some parts were damaged, had white paint and screws in parts that didnt require it, but speaking to wayfair customer service they managed to sort something out for us. Whilst building the shed the small panel was uneven and made the overal roof uneven when putting boards on top but as we decided to change the direction of the roof slant, we managed to cover it with the roof felt which doesnt look so bad, once covered. The shed does require you to put silicone on the windows which you have to purchase seperatly but overall once built looks great, and as a bonus has a key lock for extra protection. I am so happy I chose Power Sheds. It’s been a quality experience from day 1. I was a little worried on the day since my shed hadn’t arrived by 4pm but a quick call to a very polite gentleman at Power Sheds reassured me and it arrived as promised. Onto the build: instructions are very clear and the video is really useful. All the fixings eg screws are quality and the timber all fabulous quality too. The Holt is an attractive and well made British shed featuring high grade 12mm shiplap tongue and groove cladding and strong 34mm sqauare framing. There are two opening glass windows for added light and ventilation. Faux shutters are also supplied. The double door is fitted with a rim lock and wooden knob. The floor is 12mm matching T&G whilst the roof is solid sheet OSB boards, roof felt is also supplied for the exterior. The shed is dip treated with a preservative base coat ready for your own topcoat of paint or stain.
