Add a sleek and stylish touch to your next cocktail party with this slate coaster. The coasters are definitely eye-catching with a natural rustic look and rough edges. Foam pads on the bottoms protect your fine surfaces from watermarks and heat. You can even write on these coasters with chalk and make "place cards" for each of your guests. Some items may have minor scuffs/scratches or the package is squashed from being bulk shipped to the warehouse. However, we guarantee all products are new. The photos and title are just for illustration and keyword searching purposes only. As we only use 100% natural raw slate and hand-cut it to shape, irregularities on the surface/sharp edges corners, and tiny chips off within the finished designs are to be expected. Our food services products, such as our cheeseboards and servicing trays, have been treated with acrylic lacquer. Our special acrylic lacquer completely seals the slate ensuring food safety and allowing for ease of cleaning (only for a few exclusive/finest products). To maintain the appearance of these items over time and hide scratches, a natural/cooking oil can be re-applied using a dry, lint-free cloth. Do not wash in the dishwasher; do not use with abrasive pan scrubs; do not place in either a conventional or a microwave oven. Our slate products are heat resistant- perfect for hot pans and dishes; fridge and freezer safe. Please keep away from children under 18 years old, this is not a toy.

One of the plates had a blemish and a scrape in the glaze. I kept the set because the rest of the plates are really nice and I can just use the blemished one as spare. I have no doubt that Wayfair would have changed the whole set if I wanted but I’m happy with it. I would definitely recommend the plates, these manufacturing faults are very rare. Aquamarine

All four plates were smashed inside the packaging. There was no bubble wrap, just a thin piece of cardboard separating each plate. When I picked up the box it rattled, so I knew the contents were broken before I opened it. The design of the plates, being heavy pottery, makes them more vulnerable to chipping and breaking, so the packaging should be revised. Bought a set of three in the sale and loved them so much I reordered another set. Only small issue is that the first set are colour matched to each other but not to the second set so they do differ in tone, colour and pattern type so all 6 together look like 2 sets of 3.
