As an assembly it is very good. The watch outs are the base and roof. The base, the joists are off centre meaning if you put noggings in they’re all different sizes. The roof is decent enough but again odd amounts of overhang from the misaligned joists, the structure is solid enough, however I have reinforced the floor and roof with 18mmOSB which has firmed it up significantly. Product arrived on time, no problems there. Product as described and construction is of average quality. For what we wanted,- a storage shed for garden furniture that looked attractive when set in the garden it’s just fine. However, as a Summer house the construction is somewhat flimsy and wouldn’t put up with much active wear and tear. The roofing felt provided only just covered the roof and was of thin quality so we thought it necessary to place a second layer of tougher, more substantial roofing felt. First of all 5 stars and more to Wayfair especially to Lucy in customer services for sorting out the issues we had with the summer house. Summer house arrived on time. Good communication from the delivery company regarding emails and text messages - no problems until we started to check the package. So due to the issues we had I am only giving the summer house 3 stars at a push simply for the quality of the summerhouse. Sadly the workmanship is a little poor, nails either too far in creating holes for you to fill with wood filler, or nails that need an hammer to tap in but not all can be tapped in due to how near the nails are to the windows. (Windows are perspex and not glass). Nails sticking out here there and everywhere. Arrived with some parts damaged, 1 x window dropped out as it wasnt nailed in (nails missing). Bits of wood broken and cracked which we managed to sort. Instructions are pretty poor but we are skilled people so we did work it out eventually. Panels arrived with nails in wrong places or nails cracking the wood nails also where they shouldn't be so had to be cut off using a dremel (couldn't hammer them back out due to the angle they had been put in during the manufacturing process). We bought extra sanding sheets and wood filler before painting it. The reason we didn't send it back was due to the fact we do actually love it and it was the correct and perfect size for our small garden. Took roughly 3 to 4 hours to put up and took around 3 coats of paint over a few days. Rang Wayfair and supplied them with plenty of photos of the damages and flaws. Lovely once erected but it didn’t go up easily because one side panel was warped . The construction is up and I am pleased with the overall effect, although the doors as yet don’t open and run smoothly due to temperature changes and there’s quite large gaps between. There are two opening glass windows for added light and ventilation. Faux shutters are also supplied. The double door is fitted with a rim lock and wooden knob. The floor is 12mm matching T&G whilst the roof is solid sheet OSB boards, roof felt is also supplied for the exterior. The shed is dip treated with a preservative base coat ready for your own topcoat of paint or stain. Allowance should be made for the roof overhang and for access around the outside during construction and subsequent treatment. Before you assemble your building, you will need a base which is flat and level to a sufficient size. Grass, soil or gravel are not sufficient as they will move with the weight of a building.
