Comes with an instructions book but nothing is marked or labeled so you have to really pay attention and measure the parts before you start building it . Unit is great sturdy and shelfs are secure not sure what exact weight they hold but they do up hold all the stuff i have in it. Not too easy to put together, have to force the top right corner to get screw in- same reason the left door is a bit hard to close. After beding the top frame with my hands, it fits better. I purchased 2 of these for a secret mini bar project in my living room. Apart from being slightly fiddly to assemble and the instructions not the clearest, they're ideal for what I need. As far as MDF goes, these are very very sturdy and I foresee them to last quite a few years. A bargain at £75 each.
