This super-strong, steel raised bed can be set up in any one of six shapes. The chic modular planter provides a modern and stylish take on galvanised trough planters. Made from extremely durable Zincalume® steel with Colourbond coating so it lasts up to four times longer than regular galvanised steel. Choose the shape that suits your needs: as a long, narrow bed, as a traditional square bed, or one of two rectangular shapes. At 38-39cm high (bed height may vary +/-50mm), it’s suitable for all types of vegetables, herbs and flowers and minimises bending and stooping when you’re planting or weeding. We recommend placing the bottom edge of the bed in a layer of 10-20mm gravel. This allows excellent drainage and protects the bottom edge of the bed. Placing on level ground is also advised. No liner is required. Flat packed for home assembly, the no-tools-assembly kit includes hardware plus plastic protective edging for the top edge.

Good quality but took a long time to put together even by a maintenance person as there were so many pieces. Also be aware this is a bottomless planter. Pots are made from Scandinavian Redwood and it is treated in an oil based preservative. All pots come assembled except raised beds where you need to fix legs. Your pots are supplied with one coat of the 'Taylor Brown' oil based preservative. To help protect and extend the life of your planter we strongly recommend for you to apply another coat every 6-12 months. Wood is a natural product and may expand and retract depending on the weather conditions therefore we can not be held responsible for cracking, splitting, warping and shrinkage as this is a natural occurrence, because of this it may be necessary to check the tightness of the bolts/screws. Resin is occasionally present in the timber and is no detriment, should this appear simply wipe with a cloth/white spirit.
