Whether as protection from spray, for cooking larger pieces of meat or whole vegetables, or even keeping a finished dish warm, a lid is a sensible and practical addition for a pan. It is important that it fits exactly and closes tightly. This lid, specially developed for pans, guarantees this. The edge of the lid closes exactly. The silicone seal between the glass and the lid edge prevents water vapor from leaking through the gap—for energy-saving cooking with less water. These lids also look great with the pans as they feature a shapely handle and lid edge made of matted stainless steel. Everything fits so well!

Unfortunately it didn't live up to what I expected from other Tower pans. Although it is advertised for all hobs including induction it didn't work. When I tested it for iron content in the base using a magnet, the magnet fell off. Tower said it was probably my induction hob at fault. Strange, all other pans worked including some of their own. How you can expect a non magnetic base to work on an induction system is beyond me.. Brian R. Fri May 30 2025
