Fantastic basket! I had a beautiful oak desk that I wanted to repurpose as a sideboard, but, of course, there was a gap in the middle that needed to be filled! So, I had the idea that a basket or baskets could provide extra storage whilst disguising the gap. This single large lidded basket was a fantastic find from Wayfair! What I love about it is that it almost completely fills the opening and the eye no longer reads that space as somewhere a chair should go. It genuinely looks like an oak sideboard with integrated basket storage. I added some backlighting and a few knick-knacks and am truly delighted with the outcome. While the basket looks attractive, I have been very disappointed with its quality. It sheds a significant amount of material, leaving debris wherever it is placed. Even with minimal use, small pieces continually break off, creating a mess and making it unsuitable for practical storage.
