A hand-woven attractive storage hopper that will be an addition to pretty much any work surface or storage area. Practical as well as stylish, the hopper has a 15cm opening at the base to access the produce. The wicker has gaps in the sides which allow for circulation, keeping the crop cool and elongating the storage life. In order to stop the potatoes from chitting (sprouting), we do recommend keeping the hopper in a dark, cool room or corner of the kitchen. A well-made willow storage basket that will hold its strength for many years and this lovely antique brown willow potato hopper will be no exception. Within its rustic charm, however, lies a genuine potato storage container that is ideal in every way for its purpose. It keeps the crop airy and shielded from light, from deteriorating, or from going green. Unlike potatoes in a sack where there is no option but to take the ones at the top, the scooped access at the base allows for selection from the bottom of the pile. Easily filled with a handled lid, the hopper will hold a very generous 15-20kg of potatoes or any other root vegetable that is better out of the fridge or removed from its plastic bag.

Great but if anything could have been bigger. Lynne. Gowerton Swansea, GB. Tue Jun 27 2023

This ready-assembled six-drawer chest offers a practical blend of style and function for your home, featuring open-front compartments lined with durable wicker baskets that provide ample space for everyday essentials. Crafted from lightweight Paulownia wood and sturdy MDF, the piece boasts a crisp white finish that complements coastal, Scandinavian, or minimalist interiors, making it ideal for bedrooms where it can neatly store folded clothes, accessories, or seasonal linens. The natural texture of the wicker adds a touch of rustic charm, while the baskets' fabric linings protect contents from dust and snags, ensuring your items remain tidy and accessible without the hassle of assembly. Designed for versatility, this storage unit slots effortlessly into living rooms or hallways, holding toys, books, or office supplies in its six spacious baskets that slide smoothly for easy retrieval. The Paulownia wood construction keeps the design lightweight yet robust, supporting daily use in busy households, and the gently curved base lends subtle elegance to any corner. With its white-washed frame highlighting the warm tones of the wicker, it creates a serene focal point that encourages a clutter-free lifestyle, perfect for families seeking reliable organisation that blends seamlessly with existing décor.

Fantastic basket! I had a beautiful oak desk that I wanted to repurpose as a sideboard, but, of course, there was a gap in the middle that needed to be filled! So, I had the idea that a basket or baskets could provide extra storage whilst disguising the gap. This single large lidded basket was a fantastic find from Wayfair! What I love about it is that it almost completely fills the opening and the eye no longer reads that space as somewhere a chair should go. It genuinely looks like an oak sideboard with integrated basket storage. I added some backlighting and a few knick-knacks and am truly delighted with the outcome. Once again its 'Wayfair to the rescue'!. Joanne. Plymouth. Wed Aug 19 2026
