The dynamic formal rhythm of the Trinity basket designed by Adam Cornish draws inspiration from the sinuous spiral structure of the shell of the “Nautilus” mollusk. The designer wanted to recreate the appearance of a natural element through modern industrial production processes.

Its surface is patterned by a myriad of small hammer points that make the bowl glint under the light. Vine and black grape detail add a further decorative touch.

The leaf design on this beautiful bowl has been hand-carved from mango wood, a wonderfully sustainable wood. The bowl has then been polished to bring out the natural beauty of the wood. These bowls have been hand-carved by skilled artisans working for an inspirational Fair Trade organisation in northern India. All their mango wood products are hand carved by WFTO accredited producers in India. Due to the handmade nature of these products designs may slightly vary but loveliness comes as standard. They are made entirely by hand using traditional skills handed down from generation to generation. Mango trees have an extremely long life but eventually do stop bearing fruit and are replaced by younger trees. As India produces, by far, the most mangos in the world this results in a massive industry using one of the most sustainable woods known to man.

Made from stainless steel, its gently curving body has a reflective silver inner surface, which produces a tonal counterpoint to its rose gold coloured exterior.
