Witch Garden Statue

2 Piece Pixie Sitting Down Outdoor Garden Statue Set! Bring some wonder into your home with this fantastic pixie by Anthony Fisher. What are Pixies? Pixies are mythical creatures of folklore, considered to particularly concentrated in the high moorland areas around Devon and Cornwall, suggesting some Celtic origin for the belief and name. Akin to the Irish and Scottish Aos Sí, pixies are believed to inhabit ancient underground ancestor sites such as stone circles, barrows, dolmens, ringfort or menhirs. In traditional regional lore, pixies are generally benign, mischievous, short of stature and attractively childlike; they are fond of dancing, gather outdoors in huge numbers to dance or sometimes wrestle, through the night. In modern times they are usually depicted with pointed ears, and often wearing a green outfit and pointed hat, although traditional stories describe them wearing dirty ragged bundles of rags which they happy discard for gifts of new clothes. Sometimes their eyes are described as being pointed upwards at the temple ends. These, however, are Victorian era conventions and not part of the older mythology.

Stood amongst the forest floor these three charming forest faires are passing secret whispers! We think these wonderful Ron make superb gifts. Made from resin, they are suitable for indoor or outdoor use but are fragile so be careful. The painted copper wings add a sense of art deco vintage class to the figurines. Overall, they're sweet and beautiful to behold and we think you or your friends and family will love them.

Carefully individually hand-painted this Mora Troll Crossed Arms Statue is a great addition to any home or garden! A troll is a class of being in Norse mythology and Scandinavian folklore. In Old Norse sources, beings described as trolls dwell in isolated rocks, mountains, or caves, live together in small family units, and are rarely helpful to human beings. Later, in Scandinavian folklore, trolls became beings in their own right, where they live far from human habitation and are considered dangerous to human beings. Depending on the source, their appearance varies greatly; trolls may be ugly and slow-witted, or look and behave exactly like human beings, with no particularly grotesque characteristic about them.

These are amazing they look great. Margaret-clare. Clacton On Sea. Thu Jan 05 2023

Brilliant spinner. The counter balance is a clever design, if the pole isn't quite straight it doesn't matter, the design levels the little witches perfectly. It spins in the slightest breeze. I love it.. Jen. Witham, GB. Sun Oct 18 2020
