Supplied in its natural pressure treated finish although the arbour can still be painted or stained to suit your garden. Before you assemble your building, you will need a base which is flat and level to a sufficient size. Grass, soil or gravel are not sufficient as they will move with the weight of a building.

I ended up purchasing the 11x7 Poppy greenhouse over the Memorial Day weekend, after reading a multitude of reviews. Based on those reviews I decided to give Backyard Discovery a chance. From delivery to final build I could not have been happier with the experience. As a DIYer, this was in my wheelhouse. What was most impressive was the build instructions, which were complimented by the online 3D app. The inventory list for each box was invaluable in saving time from having to look for the multitude of parts and hardware. To make the build easier, I set up a 6ft table in my garage and placed all of the hardware in plastic containers which were arranged numerically. This preparation will save an enormous amount of time searching for specific hardware. The quality of the cedar was very good, solid, and consistent. Throughout the build, the instructions actually had notes, in red, that were important “lookouts” so as not to make an error with regards to specific part orientation or sequence. As I worked my way through the build, the more impressed I became with the instructions and how I could tell that the folks responsible for the instructions were truly hands-on common sense engineers. My hat off to the company for their efforts in making these projects enjoyable along with providing a wonderful finished product…that appears to last. As with any quality build, if you do not ensure that the pad is level and the sidewalls are not square and level, you will not have an enjoyable experience. Took 2 days but 3-4 people, need to make sure you level and check diagonals at all times (luckily my dad knew these things) hardest part and time consuming part is the roof shingles instillation, someone needs to not be afraid of heights and on sit on the roof. My parking space is surrounded by fence on three sides and sits under an apple tree. After experiencing one round of severe hail damage and suffering through another fall of my car being pelted by apples, I began the quest for a carport and landed on this Sunjoy model. I couldn't be happier. At 20 feet long, it covers my entire Q7, and the width was perfect for my parking space. I can definitely open the car doors on both sides, and parking between the posts is no problem. Speaking of posts, our handyman built concrete bases for the posts because of the slope of the space. One other thing to know: in the blueprint on page 4, the distance from post to post is actually 227 inches (not 229.13 as stated in the book.)
