I purchased the 5 qt size. It is very large, comfortably holds 8 boneless chicken thighs for braising flat against the bottom surface. Neither the electric heating element on my glass cooktop stove nor my PIC Inversion Cooktop are able to heat the outer edge of this pan because of its very large diameter. If using electric or PIC Inversion Cooktop, perhaps consider purchasing the 3.5 quart or smaller for best heat distribution while cooking. Clean up was easy in warm soapy water. Lid is crazy heavy... moreso than the pan itself. Again, I bought the BIG DADDY 5 qt. sized one! Beautiful. Timeless. Future family heirloom.

First braiser I bought and I am happy with it so far. Made few dishes, easy to clean, was easy to use. A bit much money wise but that is what you get with Le Creuset. Looking forward to many years of use.
