600W 1.5L Desire Jug Blender Matte Charcoal

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I love my Russell Hobs blender as it is so easy to use! It is user friendly and does a fantastic job. The design is great as it fits in with my other kitchen appliances. I have used it numerous times (even ice) and it worked fantastic. It isn’t too noisy which means I can make smoothies at 2 in the morning, a win all round!

Very bad quality plastic lid, with filler opening not sealed. I washed it before first use, and the lid got scratched by the slightest sponge stroke. Also there are plastic shavings on the inside from manufacturing as well. The plastic is too soft for this use in my opinion. I can 100% see plastic getting into the food/drink if an ice cube hits it. Also, right on first use, I filled the jug halfway with ice and liquid, and the liquid burst through next to the transparent filling hole cover. I love the size and the material of the jug, and I'm sure it would work well with a better quality lid, but for this price, I would expect it to be much more durable and sealed properly. My suggestion would be to provide a food grade silicone lid or a choice for it at least, and make the transparent lid part sealed as well.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This isn’t something I would have bought but I would have been missing out big time! This feels very sturdy and strong firstly. Depending on the setting you have it on it can be a little noisy but I’d still say it’s relatively quiet. It’s very easy to clean, I just fill the jug up with water and bubble and whizz it quickly to clean it and it’s perfect! The way it blends the fruit is so fine and smooth! It makes a really nice smoothie and the consistency is smacking! I’d be missing out for sure! This has found a permanent place on my kitchen side!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Perfect timing to test the blender in time when I was in need of one for shakes and smoothies. My house went healthy with drinking smoothies every day. Blender is perfect with a fast setting and slower setting and additional speed for quick blend if you have loads of fruit or ice in. The jug is glass so it’s very heavy and easy to smash, so have to be careful with it. The only down side is 1st time i used it i went a bit too far with unscrewing and the bottom with knifes opened and resulted in milk pouring out the jug all over the blender, there should be some sort of a lock or a click button to prevent from unscrewing the bottom when your putting in and taking out the jug from the motor. The matt black makes the blender very presentable in kitchen on the worktop.

It's got two settings and a pulsing setting, which all seems to work okay. The noise level is definitely tolerable. I like the suctioned base, and the useful opening in the lid. It's easy to clean and store away with the plug that wraps around the base. It's very basic looking and looks cheap but does the job so can't complain.

It also dismantles for easy to clean after use and comes with an integral washers. I used it to make smoothies, soups and can say that it blends well. It’s sturdy as the base comes with four suctions that sticks to most surfaces. I also like how it’s a glass jar. It’s a little noisy but no more so than most blenders. Would have liked it if the glass jug was actually secured in place when in use, as it feels like it can come out but aside from that, I am pleased with how well it’s performed.

As you can see in the photo here this blender now has its own home direct directly on top of my counter because that’s how often I use it. First things first the quality is amazing. They did a brilliant job using a glass jug. This blender replaces the nutri bullet that I was using before which was plastic and I had to rebuy the plastic containers multiple times because they would crack if used too often. So the glass jug is a game changer. We have used this for so many recipes already and are now using it every second day to make smoothies as well. it has paid a huge part into a healthier lifestyle for us because it has been so easy. the different levels of blending power are such a great range. I really can’t fault this blender.
