I am extremely pleased with this kettle for two reasons: firstly, it takes such a small amount of water when you just want one cup, making it both quick and energy efficient; and secondly, it really is a lot quieter than a standard kettle. The 'quiet boil' feature makes it a bit heavier than a standard kettle, but that is not a problem.
