I bought this toaster a week ago. It toasts very quickly but not evenly on both sides. The slots do work independently, the left side slots are marked 1 and the right side marked 2. You need to depress slot 1 first and it works independently without depressing the right hand slot if you don't require to use it. A lovely looking toaster the instructions could be clearer though hence only 4 stars.

purchased to replace similar 3 year old model. Looks as nice but is slightly inferior: the 2 left slots can only be depressed when 2 right slots are..previously independent. the machine feels lighter and when attempting to push down right hand side mechanism has to be held =down on top to stop it toppling over..feels flimsy and not sure how well this will funcy=tion long term, as before the toast is ok but not even on both sides. bottom line '''looks very nice but not a superior product for the price

I love the retro range, there’s such a great choice of colours and matching products so everything ties in beautifully. Super easy to use, nothing complicated, and the reheat and defrost settings are really handy. Perfect size for everyday use, just a really solid, good looking little toaster.
