The product itself is excellent. Great size, great quality. It's solid. However, the packaging and the shipping carton are wholly inadequate. Rather than using bubble wrap to stabilise the product and its box inside the shipping carton, just brown paper was used. Brown paper and a 6KG slab of granite don't mix to well. So both the shipping carton and the product box was destroyed in transit. Wayfair obviously know this as there is a warning label on the outer carton stating that one needs to report immediately if the outer carton is damaged. However the label seems superfluous as the packer must know that a single walled flimsy box stands no chance against 6kg of granite. I opted to keep the item for myself as it was in itself not damaged. However it was originally a gift and the destroyed packing rendered it unsuitable. The same item can be bought elsewhere for a couple of quid more but shipped more sufficiently and safely.
