This is an awesome knife sharpener in that it is extra long for the knives to glide on to get that sharp edge needed. It truly feels solid in your hand, and being not completely round gives it an edge to sharpen knives better and faster; it costs more, but is well worth the bit of extra cost..

The oblong shape and long blade make this a perfect steel for all the knives in the kitchen. The only problem we have had is that it is long that it is difficult to store.

Works as it should. Solid construction and craftsmanship. The oval shape makes it easy to use, even for someone not accustomed to honing their blades. Feels like it will hold up for many years of use.
