Alessi Plates Under £25

A seemingly random collection of objects, the table service comprises a number of items including a tray, a board, a carafe, plates, bowls, beakers, and cups. The project, designed by David Chipperfield, was inspired by vernacular ceramics from Korea, Japan, and China, and conceived as an exercise in refining functional household objects.

This design reveals an awareness of the rituals of the table that is very open to the evolution of contemporary living, with its playful aspect and its amenability to rearranging the composition of the pieces on the table, as well as its philosophy of change in general. Each object contains another, and each piece can stand freely beside the others, like a welcoming stack of petals.

The All-Time 22cm Bone China Soup Plate designed by Guido Venturini. The formal concept underlying the "All-Time" design is one of flowing shapes - a theme that's very close to the designer's heart. The surfaces of the various parts of each object are joined in such a way that the light reflecting off them is always soft and shady.

At first sight, the Colombina Collection looks like a beautiful design with a sculptural approach. Plates, containers, and cups that are elegant, new, and pleasing, and all excitingly created in new materials and different colours.
