I bought this last year, like every moka/espresso maker, after constant use it becomes seasoned. Makes beautiful espresso/coffee for one in the mornings, the only other thing I have had to purchase, because I have a delonghi gas range master, a hot plate to put over the gas hob so the pot sits securely. The freshness of bean-to-cup coffee in a machine is really easy to use. Freshly ground coffee is perfect as a morning ‘wake-me-up, a mid-afternoon ‘pick-me-up’, or to serve after dinner. The Chester grind and brew’s digital 24-hour program feature enables you to set what time of day your coffee brews so it can be ready when you wake up or you can enjoy a perfectly-timed hot drink later in the day. The Chester grind and brew’s warming plate also keeps your coffee warm and fresh for up to 40 minutes, so one pot lasts longer. It also has a permanent filter so you don’t have to use disposable paper filters every time. This sits in a removable holder so it’s easy to take out for emptying and cleaning. It’s got quiet brew technology - 60% quieter*, handy for when you want to make fresh coffee when everyone else is asleep or if you simply prefer a quieter appliance. Water level window - check water levels without having to lift the lid and see how much is going in as you fill. Pause and pour - if you just want to grab a quick cup mid-brew, the pause and pour feature lets you briefly remove the carafe to pour a cup whilst pausing the flow of the rest of the coffee. Digital grinder - with a selection of grinding options from coarse to fine – all at the touch of a button 24-hour programmable timer - get the coffee you want when you want it. It has a 1 - 4 cup option and LCD display to keep warm function - a hot plate will keep the glass carafe warm for up to 40 minutes, letting you take your time over your coffee. *When tested against Russell Hobbs coffee maker 14899.

This product met my expectation - and is very suitable for me. I usually only get one cup of coffee at the time. Would have been good if one could also buy some Melitta filters 100 - as they are very difficult to find in the shops in Dublin area. However, the coffee machine is very good - I cut the filters I have to the right size.. Karin. Skerries, Dub. Sun May 04 2025
