Purchased to use as a Dutch oven for baking sourdough bread. Lovely dish and does the job perfectly. Quite a bit of weight to it as you would expect from an iron pan and so far has been fine to clean with a plastic brush. Even recommended to a friend who also wanted one for the same reason. Laura. This 26cm premium cast iron dutch oven pot perfectly solves all home cooking pain points. Adopting pure safe cast iron material, featuring efficient constant temperature heating, ergonomic dual handles, all-round versatile cooking and universal stove compatibility, it is a durable all-in-one kitchen essential for daily family meal preparation. Type: dutch oven pot Color: Black Material: Cast Iron Pot diameter(not includes handle): 26cm/10.24inch Pot height(not includes lid): 11.5cm/4.53inch Use & Maintenance: 1. Clean and dry the dutch oven, take pork rind (or cooking oil) and repeatedly wipe the inner side of the dutch oven, keep the fat inside for 5-10 hours before use. 2. The first use of a period of time, geting black is normal. The dutch oven is factory coated with vegetable oil to prevent rust, which does not contain any harmful substances. 3. Uncoated cast iron dutch oven is suitable for any spatula and stove (except microwave), the round bottom is not suitable for induction hobs. 4. When cooking, ensure the dutch oven is fully heated before adding oil, and place food in after the oil has warmed up. Do not cook starchy foods for the initial period of use first. 5. This dutch oven is cast in iron and polished by hand, so the surface will not be as smooth as stainless steel and fine iron cookware, but this is normal. 6. If the dutch oven has water stains after use, please wipe dry before storing to prevent rusting. It is recommended that vegetable oil be applied to the surface for better results. If the dutch oven becomes rusty, clean it with a scouring pad and apply vegetable oil.
