Really very thick,Id suggest wearing them for a few hours,moving your hands to loosen them up a bit,although,I am tempted to cut them in half,velcro them back to the hand opening to protect the arms,as I find the total size a little restrictive.Also,if marked the padded sides with L R,that would be a great idea..
