This knife sharpener automatically adjusts to suit all plain-edged knives. It is suitable for all European & Japanese edge profiles. Not the sharpest knife in the drawer? I’ll soon see to that! My tungsten-carbide sharpening tools are engineered to automatically align themselves to suit the edge angle of all plain-edged knives, even asymmetrically ground Japanese knives. What’s more, they are specially shaped to allow resharpening of dull blades & honing of sharp ones depending on how you hold the knife in the sharpener. This has stood the test of time through an unrelenting dedication to quality, service and good old fashioned technical know-how in the design and production of kitchen knives and scissors. It is uniquely shaped 2 stages tungsten-carbide mechanism re-edges blunt knives & hones your knives to keep them sharp. The honing of a blade gently straightens any microscopic kinks & bumps in the edge that occur during day-to-day use. regular honing keeps a sharp knife sharper for longer. To hone a freshly sharpened edge & for regular maintenance of your knives, gently pull the knife through from heel to tip 3-5 times, with the blade tip pointing upwards.

Rockingham Forge’s new SUPERSHARP professional sharpening whetstones will give you blades which are sharper, safer and easier to use than ever before. Available in single or combination stones with varying degrees of grit and coarseness, it’s time to embrace the number one recognised method of sharpening! The grit size or coarseness of a sharpening whetstone is indicated by numbers. The higher the number or GRIT, the finer the stone, the less steel it will cut through and the better it will polish the edge to a sharp bite. 240-1000 grit are coarse blocks, cutting steel more quickly and therefore best for damaged, chipped, rusty or blunt knives. 3000-8000 grit are honing or polishing stones, used to refine the edge of the blade, removing scratches and burr left from coarser stones and giving the blade a shiny, mirror finish. When using the whetstone, continue applying water whilst sharpening, making sure the stone remains wet. The water will react with particles in the stone to form an abrasive substance which enables the sharpening process.

Rockingham Forge Ceramic Whetstones are an extensive range of knife sharpening tools, also known as waterstones, which will restore your blunt kitchen knives or hone already sharp edges in no time. This range is designed from ceramic rather than the conventional corundum used in other whetstone types, as it is longer lasting, more effective and much cleaner to use. These stones are much harder than the traditional whetstones, so they wear a lot slower.

The Katana Saya ceramic whetstone features a Coarse (240 grit) and Medium (1000 grit) edge and is the ideal tool for taking your kitchen knives from extremely blunt to extra-sharp in no time! The stone fits snugly inside a sleek, non-slip plastic base with a lid, offering a stable surface for honing kitchen knives of any brand. Also included in the set are a levelling stone for restoring the knife sharpener’s smooth surface as well as a cloth for drying the stone and your work surface after use. Founded in 1945, the award-winning Grunwerg family business produces high-quality household goods and catering products, specializing in high-quality steel. The company is headed by the Grunwerg family, which is located in the steel town of Sheffield. Available in single or combination stones with varying degrees of grit and coarseness, it’s time to embrace the number one recognised method of sharpening! This set will help maintain your stone and ensure durability with the levelling stone, used to flatten the surface of the whetstone. The grit size or coarseness of a sharpening whetstone is indicated by numbers. With this whetstone, you can instantly sharpen all your kitchen knives, giving them an excellent edge. Double-sided, with two different grits, you can either use the blue, 240 grit side for restoring dull or damaged knives, or the fine, white, 1000 grit surface to perfectly sharpen them. The whetstone comes in a non-slip bamboo block for safety. The whetstone should be immersed in lukewarm water for five minutes before each use. During this time, the whetstone absorbs the optimum amount of water for the perfect result when sharpening. Corundum is one of the world's hardest materials. When combined with water, the smallest corundum particles form an abrasive paste, which can be used to create an exceptionally sharp result. Place the block on a flat surface, and position the knife at a maximum angle of 20°. Then you can begin slowly pulling the knife edge forwards and backwards to sharpen it. If the knife you are sharpening is very blunt, or has not been sharpened for a long time, start with the rougher blue side, then follow with the finer, white side of the whetstone.Make sure you use the entire surface of the whetstone, in order to ensure it wears evenly over the years to come. After sharpening, wet the whetstone with clean water and dry gently. Then, let the whetstone dry out completely. The water-resistant bamboo block should not be exposed to moisture for extended periods of time.

This manual knife sharpener utilizes a 'pull through' method to make the short work of honing your kitchen knives. The ceramic sharpening groove is extremely durable and hard-wearing and will provide the best results for your knives, time after time.
I did not receive a full order, just ceramic sharpening wheels with no case . The photo shows what arrived with no case. The purchase was made and no item received after 2 weeks, I contacted wayfair and they said it had not been sent and would resend. However a spare set of sharpening wheels is not what I paid for. I paid for a complete sharpening kit. I’m shocked at such poor and neglectful service. Caroline. Paignton, GB. Fri May 19 2023

Rockingham Forge’s new professional sharpening whetstones will give you blades which are sharper, safer and easier to use than ever before.

It’s good for a proper old sharpen. Lilian. Warrington. Tue Apr 25 2023

This knife sharpener restores a super sharp cutting edge to blunt knife blades that have dulled with use. Whether you’re slicing meat, dicing vegetables, or carving the Sunday roast, a sharp blade makes cutting effortless. Works with all your knives - even serrated blades! It uses tungsten carbide technology to extend the life of almost any knife. It works on virtually any steel knife, including expensive hardened steel knives and even serrated blades (like bread knives and hunting knives), making it, unlike any knife sharpener, sharpening steel or sharpening stone you’ve ever used. Its unique safety feature is its power grip suction cup base, which attaches securely to any smooth surface or worktop without the need for any tools. Once it's attached you can sharpen any knife safely hands-free! Since it is so small and light, AnySharp can be easily tidied away in a drawer, cupboard, or toolbox when not needed. AnySharp is small enough to store in your kitchen drawer. You could even PowerGrip it to your fridge or tiled kitchen wall, out of the way yet handy when you need it.
