I cook on a gas stove top, only use silicone or plastic utensils, and I am careful to only use oil or butter (no sprays ), I do not overheat pan and hand wash only. I understand that non-stick pans are not created to last a lifetime. However, This kind of wear so soon, is concerning. I bought these at a reduced price, so I am not that upset by this. I bought a set of three years ago and used this one so much that it was getting a bit worn... embarrassing to admit, but in poaching eggs on low low setting, I'd forgotten to turn the heat off and really scorched it more than once. It recovered like a champ and I had a long life of use from it. Recently a house guest scratched a little mar in the coating, so, time for a new one. Unfortunately it didn't live up to what I expected from other Tower pans. Although it is advertised for all hobs including induction it didn't work. When I tested it for iron content in the base using a magnet, the magnet fell off. Tower said it was probably my induction hob at fault. Strange, all other pans worked including some of their own.
