The Dry cutlery set marks Alessi's debut in cutlery production. Despite gloomy initial forecasts from Alessi's own employees, it has amply demonstrated that the iconic and innovative force of its form, together with exceptional tactile pleasure in its use and an excellent finish, are a lot more important to the public than many long-held market prejudices would have us believe.

Designed by the Swiss studio Big-Game, the Amici cutlery set is ideal for adding a touch of elegance to the daily table. The collection's most distinctive feature is its boldly shaped handles, an unusual approach to form that makes this essentially designed cutlery very special. The irregular surfaces play with light and create vibrant reflections, adding warmth to the atmosphere and turning every mealtime into a delightful moment of sharing.

The creator's love for the beauty of simple things, done well, universal and evolutionary within everyday life, translates into a cutlery series with a minimalist design and elegantly curved shapes. A simple set, for everyday use, to make every meal just a little more special.

In the cutlery set, a twist originates from the point where the handle transforms into a blade and graduates along the length of the utensils. The ergonomic silhouette that is created by gradual transformation effects a dynamic motion frozen in solid material and presents a balance between the modern and the classical.

Sharp, yet with a touch of sensitivity and elegance. Linear, yet with an organic quality of plants. We intend to shift Alessi's familiar sensations with chopsticks onto cutlery (Toyo Ito).
