Bring a touch of timeless British character to your lighting with these beautifully understated Lancashire Cotton Ticking drum lampshades.
We love these cotton ticking lamp shades for their Heritage. Pattern. Versatility. Timelessness.
Cotton ticking has a long history as a hardwearing furnishing fabric, traditionally used for mattress and upholstery covers, and more recently for curtains. The cloth is woven in a traditional herringbone weave, with a distinctive striped pattern that gives the fabric its relaxed, quietly sophisticated character.
Here, these classic stripes have been reimagined as a lampshade, creating a look that feels equally at home in a country house or cottage, a period interior or a more contemporary scheme. The restrained, fine stripe makes it particularly versatile: pair it with plain fabrics for a calm, coordinated look or use it alongside florals and other patterns for a more eclectic interior.
Available in a choice of colourways and a wide range of sizes, these lampshades make it easy to create a coordinated lighting scheme throughout your home. Choose complementary sizes for table lamps, floor lamps and ceiling lights, bringing the timeless Lancashire ticking stripe together across your room or interior.
Each lampshade is individually handmade to order in our Lancashire workshop using quality cotton ticking fabric woven in Burnley, England. These lampshades combine the very best of British manufacturing.
A white interior lining provides a clean, bright quality of light when illuminated.
As each shade is individually made, the position of the stripes may vary slightly according to the size selected, while remaining evenly spaced and parallel.
