Glass Lamp

While the air bubbles in the glass dome of the IRIS luminaire, created by designer Sebastian Herkner, are reminiscent of underwater worlds, the new IRIS in alabaster mirrors the distinctive texture of the surface of the moon. Both luminaires inspire in their own, unique ways the feeling of weightlessness. Alabaster is a cream-coloured mineral, reminiscent of the materiality of marble. The stone is translucent and is illuminated from the inside by the built-in light source, giving the impression of looking into a full moon.
