A stylish lamp, a bit smaller than expected, and as other reviews have mentioned the light is cast in a very downward manner, so perhaps better for task lighting rather than area lighting. The base has a nice weight - kind of a marble amalgam. Overall perhaps a bit of a decorative splurge at this price point if you are just looking for something other than a traditional lampshade. Form function on this one.

I've been looking for a cool lamp for my desk for a while. This is super heavy-duty and beautiful! The light it casts is perfect for a desktop. The shade angles just a little but not as much as I would like. Packaging for shipment was great and it comes with a lightbulb--you won't regret this purchase!

This lamp seems like pretty good quality. It is large, sturdy and stylish. The light pole of ours was slightly bent, and because it is so thick, not easily bent back. Outside of that the base is solid marble and the shade is a very pretty brushed gold metal. I would recommend this for a bedroom nightstand that is larger or an office for a beautiful focal point.
