Bought this lamp with the antique brass base. It was just what I needed, although the shade didn't match my decor but that is personal choice. Replaced it with a pale cream shade and now it fits in perfectly. So much so that I plan to buy another. The style is in keeping with my decor throughout the house so although I have it downstairs in the living room it would look just as lovely in the bedroom. Highly recommended
