This is a great looking lamp. It certainly looks like wood. It's pretty heavy, I think the entire thing is some sort of painted concrete or resin - I don't know but it's not plastic and it's not wood. It comes in three pieces, two for the poll which you screw together and the base does the same. It's all very easy, no tools needed. I had underestimated how tall 130 cms was, it's not as tall as I thought and the lamp is smaller than your average standard lamp. I have another one and it's a good foot taller and sits better in rooms with higher ceilings. I bought some small foot for it to raise it about an inch and a half. I still love it and would buy it again.
