This light is so pretty now that's been put up, although I was very worried when it arrived. Instead of being a solid copper, the tubes used to make the shape have a weird sort of silvery etching all over them, which looks cheap and nasty. Close up it's not a pretty copper colour at all. That said, if you're hanging it above head-height and won't be looking closely, then it's perfect. I only noticed because I was putting in the bulbs (which as others have said, is an absolute pain in the proverbial, and I am *not* looking forward to replacing them) but others didn't see it at all, even when I pointed it out. You have to be right up close. I still think it's worth mentioning because it's pretty weird! Anyway, once in the room, it looks really cool and unusual. I live in a high-ceilinged Victorian townhouse and it works perfectly as a contrast to the classic architecture. I love the shapes it makes on the ceiling when it's switched on. It gives a soft but effective light - perfect in a room which needs ambient but not overly bright lighting, such as a dining or sitting room. I took forever to find a light for my dining room and I'm really delighted with this one.
