Beautiful little turtle , it doesn’t make much light but looks very pretty

As soon as I saw this tortoise lamp (while browsing at other light fittings) I just had to have one! I hoped before my order arrived that it would be as good as my imagination had pictured and I certainly wasn't disappointed. He is just sooooo cute! ♥ As some other people have mentioned, even a golf ball shaped E14 bulb does make the shell sit a little proud (which leaves a bit of a light gap around the edge at the front - that would be annoying if you had bought this lamp for ambient lighting and placed it higher than where you usually sit, because you would see a strip of white light... but I found that if you buy a "Pygmy" style E14 bulb the fit is much better and with a little bit of fiddling the shell does eventually sit down flush so you don't get that gap) so that's a little pointer for anyone else who is thinking of buying one of these lovely lamps or for other who have bought one but also had trouble with the bulb not fitting properly. To be honest, it wouldn't have hurt the manufacturers to include the right size bulb to start with but that's just me splitting hares! ;) (See what I did there?!) ;-D

Love this light ! Soft green glow looks great at night

This was bought as a 50th birthday gift for my partner who loves tiffany style lamps and tortoise/turtles. Perfect for the old man. It is also trending in the home decor and is really good quality

Conflicted about the review. Really love the look of the lamp and it is lovely when on. However, the top wasn’t well designed for the size of the bulb required. Haven’t found a bulb that allows the top to complete seal so it doesn’t allow the white light to escape through the small gap below. It’s not an issue if you’re planning to place the lamp below eye level! I bought it for a book shelf on eye level so the escaping bit of white light is annoying me.
