Beautiful chandelier. Worth the money. It did arrive with two crystals broken but I was happy to find a bag of spare ones with it so just replaced them. It comes in a box with lots of polystyrene bits and plastic foam type wrapping. It weighs a bit, 8kg I believe, so needs two people to put it up. It is simply wonderful to fill a space such as a happy stairs. So pleased I chose it. And it is 61cm across, about 2 feet wide.

Now that it's in place, I have to say that this is beautiful light and, with the 4W bulbs, gives off a great deal of light. (Perhaps lower wattage bulbs might be an idea.) Unfortunately, despite what it says in the product description, it does not work with a dimmer switch. It is spectacular, though, and has already attracted favourable comments from our neighbours (it hangs in our front room). I would also caution that it is a beast to install. The protective packaging is generally very effective, consisting of hundreds - and I mean hundreds - of small polystyrene beads. Unfortunately, whatever method is used to apply them also has the effect of pushing the majority of the hanging glasses out of place, so we spent more than two hours putting the whole thing back together, discovering several broken pieces of glass in the process. Fortunately, I was able to cannibalise the spares from another chandelier in the same range so didn't need to contact the supplier for replacements. Even so, it's a pain to have to do that. This was actually our second product as the first had been irreparably damaged by there same process. Advice is to unpack very carefully and check every piece thoroughly. The ceiling fitting is very tight and difficult to maneouvre onto a ceiling bracket unless you dismantle the connection blocks to trim the cable (you'll probably need to do this in any case as they are very awkwardly positioned for attaching to the lighting circuit). If you do that, you have a great deal more flexibility which makes it easier to attache the fitting to the ceiling bracket. Finally, do not underestimate how heavy this is! It is without question a two-person job to hang.
