Bolen Resin Table Lamp

When I first unwrapped the lamp I was disappointed with it as it had wanted a yellow lampshade and it looked more green. I was delighted when I switched it on and the green turned yellow! It is so beautiful and a real pleasure to use. Can't wait for the winter evenings now to sit and read by it.

Its made in China for a start. Disappointing as Ophelia & Co.is based in Bradford. No instructions, so figure it out yourself, you squeeze the curved metal and lock it into the stand, put the heavy glass shade over it and screw the little knob ontop to hold it on. Would describe as 'securing the shade' as it doesn't it wobbles a lot. No other way to tighten it I have checked unfortunately. I put a 60w lightbulb in (as it says it can take one) but after the lamp being on only a matter of minutes I touched the metal knob above the light shade (trying to work out if I could tighten it more to stop the shade being wobbly) and I nearly burnt my fingers it's alarmingly hot! I'm going to take the 60w bulb out and replace it with a 40w for this reason only. The one good thing about the lamp is it looks stunning, just unfortunate the design of putting it together lacks, especially as they aren't cheap either. I've had lamps that hold together properly without wobbly shades and parts getting too hot. I think Ophelia & Co. need to rethink their supplier. This was a surprise 40th birthday present for a dear friend and she loved it..It sat on her new bureau as if it was made for it.
