Well packaged. Tiny chip at base of one shade but completely hidden when put together. Easy to put together. Problem is the storage compartment in base of lamp for excess electric wire is not ideal, as it requires wire to be folded too much and squeezed into compartment, rather than being wrapped in a circle (like the base of an electric kettle).
