The motor has an excellent performance with up to 180 rpm, at a power consumption of 9-65 watts. You switch the unit on and off via the built-in 3-step pull switch, or alternatively for optimum convenience with the IR remote control N 901 (switches the three speeds as well as the direction of rotation and also the retrofittable light ON/OFF or via dimmer). In addition, the all-speed control for surface or flush mounting (4-stage plus light ON/OFF) is available as a switching option. For particularly high rooms it is recommended to use pendant rods of 30, 60, 90, or 120 cm. Absolutely quiet running, no motor noise audible, also ideally suited for sleeping areas.

I’d give it five stars but I have 3 minor complaints- the light is too him, I don’t like the way it sits against the ceiling because it doesn’t look “finished”, and I really really wish the lowest setting was lower. It has 6 speeds and the lowest is too high for a gentle breeze to just get the air moving. I think the current lowest speed should be second or even third. I do love that you can have it go in reverse to disperse heat during colder months. And I’m beyond happy to have a ceiling fan (I bought three). The light dims from very bright (brighter than a normal bulb) to a dim glow. Easy to build, although you need a little perseverance fitting all the wiring into the ceiling dome if you are using the shortest height. Superb quality - very well made & super quiet, no vibration, even on full power. At it's fullest all you hear is a bit of wind noise which is quite relaxing, and still no noisy vibration. There is also a breeze mode where the fan increases & decreases speed again - very relaxing & should provide a great compromise for when I need the cool air of the fan but my husband thinks it is too much being constant.
