I wanted a modern clean looking living room light. I really liked all the options, which was the whole reason I chose this light. It has six different colors of varying lumens, to customize for decor and ambiance. Everything is at the touch of a button, with an easy to use remote. Installation was pretty easy after watching a video. The construction of the light is sturdy and well made. The design of the different individual components is very thoughtful. How the upper lights are internal facing with a diffusing cover. Then the lower lights that I especially like, how they utilize acrylic for external light diffusing. It feels gentler on the eyes. This light works very well over the sink in my kitchen! It arrived fully assembled. All you have to do is connect a couple of wires and mount the fixture. The cover is a flexible plastic, so it’s easy to access the LED portion to mount the light. This light is very bright. Almost too bright if I’m being honest. I sometimes used my over the sink light as a nightlight, but this light is much too bright for that. Its brightness is extremely useful when washing dishes or preparing food near the sink. The pictures can be a little misleading. The light is much smaller than it appears. Check the dimensions of the light and make sure it works for you. The light isn’t even wide enough to cover the hole from the old recessed lighting fixture I had there previously. So I’ll have to patch the hole and the then remount the light. I don’t think this light will work well in larger rooms. While there is more than enough light to cover a large area, the fixture is so small that it would look weird in large areas. I would recommend using it as under lighting, or maybe in closets, over workbenches, etc. Overall I think this light is a 45 as it meets my needs.
