Blue Ebern Designs Ceiling Light Shades

Our slightly tapered, cylindrical-shaped drum shades are made with cotton fabric, stitched, having a rolled edge finish, and a hard lining under the fabric. Ideal for table lamps and floor lamps, they are also great as pendant shades, with reversible gambles and complete with dual shade rings.

A simple gesture can make a big impact. Crafted from heavyweight Canson Mi-Teintes paper, the lamp shade possesses a quiet elegance that unfolds as a fascinating lighting object when paired with a simple standard fixture. Despite its complex, origami-inspired construction, the lampshade is easy to hang and serves its aesthetic purpose.

A dramatic and eye-catching design. Unfortunately, it is constructed by rolling the drawing onto the two plastic frames. This takes a bit of practice to have it firm and unwrinkled. While you are practicing(!) you must ensure you don't have anything lying around that will puncture or discolour the drawing, or lose the tackiness of the velcro. Probably - for the high price - a ready-made item is expected. I can understand the flat-pack principle, but don't support it in this instance. One further point, although I found the design striking and unusual, my wife described it as 'pornographic'. It plainly isn't, and that's a wild comment, but that was her first impression, so you have been warned!. Angus. London, GB. Sun Jan 07 2018
