This floor lamp has a thin metal stem and a cone-shaped shade. The shade is connected to its weighted round metal base through a repositionable angular rod that holds up the lamp.

Initial lamp was damaged but the customer service was great. It was a bit annoying as it was a birthday gift, but the customer service issued a replacement which looked in mint condition.
