This is a sturdy, well made lamp. Quite heavy and solid, made from glass and metal. The 45cm description is misleading, I'm not sure where they get that measurement from, however, the dimensions given in the item details are accurate. Just so you're not disappointed with the size, I've added photos with a regular sized pen for scale. It's really pretty and quirky and will fit lovely on my small bookshelf in my office and I would highly recommend it. The bulb is easy to fit. It takes an E14 (small screw) bulb and I would recommend the golf ball shape rather than the long candle shape and it will fit perfectly.
