Exactly what I was looking for, to brighten a dark corner in the kitchen without being too much. I went for the smoke coloured glass to temper the brightness and it works perfectly - an ambient, warm light that even makes the room feel a little warmer! (All psychological I guess). I love the fact that the base is rectangular - rather than round - so it fits snuggly into the corner. The power cable also comes out of the base so there's no cabling visible around the pole.
