Lovely feature light that is a real statement in the room due to size being big. Heavy weight due to the metal bar at base so make sure the light is fixed on properly! The light cable is the same thickness as the other 2 suspension cables all 3 are realy thin. The mechanism for raising / lowering the height is simple and effective and easy to level our rose is on an angle in a vaulted cealing. There are a number of sizes we have a very large extension but went with the smallest as we cut out some cardboard mock ups beforehand to judge the impact and size something I would recommend. Excellent light that fitted seamlessly into our tv room. We selected the grey coloured shade in the largest size and weren’t disappointed when it arrived. It is clearly well made, all the parts are of excellent quality and substantial to the touch. Our tv room is quite small and we needed the light to hang in the middle of the room thus we cut the cable leading up to the ceiling pendant to a short length. The effect on the room was impressive. It was easy to fit and the instructions were clear and easy to follow. The diffuser slides in snugly to the shade and creates a lovely effect and the silver pendant and cover for the cable brought a feeling of real quality. The shade colour is a fairly deep grey and looks so stylish with its narrow styled drum and silver components blending in well.Delighted with our new super stylish light. Would highly recommend it.. Lovely quality shade, black and orange as in the photos online. Looks even better with a bronze smoked globe shaped bulb with a 'spring-curl' filament. The lower part has a transparent internal plastic layer that reflects the globe so you can see it in reflection only depending on position, so well worthwhile getting a decorative globe. The only stain on this designer light is the fixing screws for the supporting disc on the ceiling aren't the same colour, they are galvanised metal on a black surface. Minor detail, but given the price and quality, it should be a given. I managed to dull them using a black pen, but they should be replaced along with the washers, but the documentation doesn't specify the size and the light was installed within two hours of arrival..
