It looks great and seems very sturdy with a good heavy base. It's not quite as tall as I expected, but I suppose I should have checked the measurements! It's great for reading under (if a bit hot after a while). The range of adjustments available isn't as as much as I would like - the picture on the website is as high as it goes - it would be better for me if I could tilt it higher (which ties in with it overall not being as tall as I'd like) as I'd like to move it a bit more out of the way when not actually using it. If it were taller/tilted more I would give this 5 stars as it seems very sturdy and looks great. It arrived in a small box as you have to screw in all together yourself (which was easy once I realised that you have to remove the little black plastic pieces !). This floor lamp has a thin metal stem and a cone-shaped shade. The shade is connected to its weighted round metal base through a repositionable angular rod that holds up the lamp.

Initial lamp was damaged but the customer service was great. It was a bit annoying as it was a birthday gift, but the customer service issued a replacement which looked in mint condition. The replacement didn’t turn on initially but I managed to make it work (the connection between the bulb and the metal bit were not touching). Now it works and looks beautiful.. Gabriela.
