Oak

A wooden lamp inspired by the shape that is given to diamonds. A very elegant object that goes well with a modern environment. To build this particular solid it is necessary to "stretch" two of the opposite sides of a hexagon for the upper faces and eliminate one of the sides opposite to the elongated side, so that the other two adjacent sides meet for the lower faces.

Consisting of 20 equilateral triangular faces, the icosahedron is one of the Platonic solids. Its shape with the thicknesses chosen by us results in a rather "solid" solid. That is, its lines cover its surface for a good 30%. The light that filters through is therefore smaller and more tenuous than other solids we make.

Inspiration for this lamp came from Leonardo Da Vinci's drawing of the Archimedean solid truncated icosahedron. Hence the name 'Atlante', as a homage to the famous renaissance genius and his studies such as 'Codice Atlantico'. The truncated icosahedron is actually an all too famous solid as it is the shape of the soccer ball.

Dodecahedron hung by a vertex, a totally different experience! This lamp differs from the other dodecahedrons only because it hangs from a vertex of the solid. This results in a totally different perspective. We made this version in olive wood.
