Paper Ebern Designs Light Shades

A simple gesture can make a big impact. Crafted from heavyweight Canson Mi-Teintes paper, the lampshade possesses a quiet elegance that unfolds as a fascinating lighting object when paired with a simple standard fixture. Despite its complex, origami-inspired construction, the lampshade is easy to hang and serves its aesthetic purpose.

Lovely matt finish, looks beautiful up. Shame it doesn't come with a metal fixing - just a string to tie around top of bulb. Hannah. Surrey, GB. Tue Aug 27 2019

A dramatic and eye-catching design. Unfortunately, it is constructed by rolling the drawing onto the two plastic frames. This takes a bit of practice to have it firm and unwrinkled. While you are practicing(!) you must ensure you don't have anything lying around that will puncture or discolour the drawing, or lose the tackiness of the velcro. Probably - for the high price - a ready-made item is expected. I can understand the flat-pack principle, but don't support it in this instance. One further point, although I found the design striking and unusual, my wife described it as 'pornographic'. It plainly isn't, and that's a wild comment, but that was her first impression, so you have been warned!. Angus. London, GB. Sun Jan 07 2018
