The bed is solidly made with clear assembly instructions. It took longer than the suggested time to put together - you also need a fair amount of space to build it. The drawers are smaller than we had anticipated, with the bed frame limiting the height of the items you could fit it them. The main issue we had was that the bed isn't designed to work on carpeted floors as there is no clearance built in between the bottom of the drawers and the floor. As our bedrooms are all carpeted, this made the drawers unusable for us and so the bed had to be returned.
