I have to say I'm very disappointed with the quality of this product. I have another similar scratching post from a different supplier and was expecting similar quality. I couldn't have been more wrong. The material covering the mdf boards is so thin that it already had a hole at the corner when I took it out of the box. The rope on the scratching posts is very thin also and sparsely covers the posts so that the (cardboard?) is visible underneath.
