The Bettacare Chunky Wooden Screw Fit Pet Gate range fits all gaps between 63.5cm - 105.5cm. These gates can be opened either way and operated with one hand. The robust screw fitting design is easily installed, but once in place makes a solid barrier which will withstand the impact from even the most spirited of pets. The gate panels measure 71cm in height, and when using the installation template the gate will measure 75.5cm from the floor. It is possible to mount the gate higher off the floor if preferred, but it is advised to ensure your pet can not crawl under the height you install the lower set of fittings. The solid wood frame is thicker than the average screw fitted gate measuring a full 5cm (with panels interlocking). The wider frame provides a more solid feel to the gate, ensures a quieter closing mechanism, and provides greater protection against dogs chewing. (it is recommended to purchase additional anti-chew spray should you be worried your pet may consistently try to chew the gate). The gates can additionally be used outdoors, however it is recommended to remove the panels from the fittings for storage during prolonged periods of wet weather. The range is available in five different colours to suit any home interior.

A range of extensions are available which simply slot between the main panels to fit any width up to 140cm. By removing the traditional overlapping system of traditional screw fit pet gates, the whole installation process has been simplified to five easy to follow steps. The Eco gate has a simple manual opening and closing system. The push to release button is activated with a thumb, allowing the user to lift the gate frame out of the cradle with ease. Once through the gate, simply slot the fittings back into the cradle. The Eco gate has a one-way restrictor to resolve this issue, but also has the option to enable the gate to open in both directions should the gate be installed elsewhere in the home. The Eco gate is available in three colours: white, black and grey to match all home interiors. Works well for us. But she naturally doesn't try to breach any type of barrier. Only two things that could be improved. 1) it moves very easily on carpet. I've added some sticky pads on the feet to stop this. 2) the door doesn't come flush at the bottom, so I bought some catches for 59p to add a close at the bottom. Et voilà, perfect. Not for you if your dog jumps up at, or pushes at barriers.. Carol. Coppull Chorley, GB. Sat Nov 20 2021

It should not be overextended to fit standard openings. If more than 50% of the fitting pin is exposed when installed, you probably need an extension available separately or select a standard size gate. Contact us in case of doubt.
