In addition to a free-running range with an open bottom, there are sheltered resting areas and a nest box. The roof of the nest box can be opened for the collection of eggs. The iron wire mesh allows fresh air in. The upper floor can be accessed via two non-slip ramps. The upper portion has a removable tray for easy cleaning. The doors are lockable from the outside with the latches. Made of high-quality pinewood, the hutch is durable. The green waterproof fabric on the roofs keeps rain away, creating warm, comfortable resting areas inside the hen house.

The green roofing material is rubbish. It gets brittle, breaks up and blows off in little pieces. The plywood then separates. Not going to rate it up or down yet will pop it in the middle for now, but first thought was omg it’s like Meccano (if you remember) loads of pieces to put together but wasn’t too bad. Not sure why but the shed looks different to the picture which didn’t want a pitched roof no I have to change the whole concept and area where I’m putting it. The illustration has a mono pitch roof.
