Great for the price! My rats love it! Plenty big for the two of them. I replaced the wire mesh with acrylic and added air holes to the back, because I don’t trust my cats at all. Only took about 45 minutes to put together myself, excluding the mods I put in. I also had to adjust one of the latches, but that took only a minute and the rest were fine. Instructions were clear and came with extras of all the screws included. It is a cheaper material, but came out sturdier than expected once put together. The small animal housing serves as a small retreat for your rodent. The barn can be easily connected to an outdoor run or outdoor enclosure with an outdoor staircase, so that the animal can be given appropriate exercise in any case. The front grille is made of powder -coated metal. These bars protect your rodent from predators, but cannot nibble on the bars themselves.
