It's only been up for 1 day, but the design feels really solid. There's a fixing to attach it to a wall, but I'm sure we won't be using it. The construction was very straightforward, albeit with one or two fiddly moments trying to align a screw that you can see and feel with a hole that you can't see or feel. Everything fits and tightens perfectly, and the instructions are very easy to follow. I hate DIY, but I still plodded my way to success in about an hour. If a picture tells a thousand words, what about ten photos of our very happy cats in their new tree Levon and Oscar were there during unboxing and never left. They love it, as do I. They are almost eleven years old but acted like kittens, another sign that this tree is amazing. It arrived quickly, is the prettiest cat I have ever had, and it is well-made. Last evening, I had to move the boys out of the basket or off the base several times just to assemble it! My pics are all in the family room, where I was assembling it, but it will be placed by a window in our bedroom where the sun shines in and they love to sleep there. Still, too cute to wait.
